Abstract

One of the biological resources that contributes significantly to the welfare of the community in Pemalang Regency is anchovy resources (Stolephorus commersonii). The fishing gear is purse seine waring. The purpose of this study is to determine the size structure, mortality rate and exploitation rate as well as analyze the bioeconomy of anchovy resources in Pemalang Regency. The method used is a descriptive survey. Determination of respondents using purposive sampling method. Analysis of the data was with Gordon-Schaefer bioeconomic analysis. The results showed that Lc50% was 56.30 mm. Recruitment of anchovies occurs year-round with new additions being highest in May, June, July and August. Total mortality (Z) was 2.03 per year, natural mortality (M) was 1.33 and arrest mortality (F) was 0.70. The exploitation rate (E) is obtained at 0.35. The CPUE equation is CPUE = -0.0031x + 129.14 with R² = 0.7264. The results of bioeconomic analysis on anchovies obtained results of 1,330,866 kg / year with 20,611 trips / year, amounting to 1,007,713 kg / year with 10,455 trips / year, amounting to 1,330,587 kg / year with 20,909 trips / year. The level of profit in MEY conditions has the lowest effort, but gets the highest profit. The management strategy that can be done is to closely monitor so as not to exceed optimal efforts.
