Abstract

Nowadays as the time passes, the communication becomes the backbone between the users. To make this backbone strong, our researches develop new techniques over the time which is helpful for end user and also makes the communication easy. In every field whether it is business or study, communication is most important part. To have the knowledge or recent activities or to transfer data from one place to another, internet is very helpful. For this we have many services like WiMax, WI-Fi, 3G and many more. In this paper we are going to study about Li-Fi i.e. light fidelity, in which visible light is used for the transfer of data or exchange of information in the binary form. First little introduction is given then the working of Li-Fi is discussed that how it works by using LEDs. Then the design of Li-Fi is there that is what factors are required like LED, line of sight. Then applications and need of Li-Fi is there. We also compare Li-Fi with Wi-Fi.
