Abstract

The goal of the present study was to determine personality traits’ in-service teachers’ (preliminary, elementary and secondary), the existence of differences in personality traits in relation to age, gender, teaching experience, and teachers’ specialty, and finally the investigation of the relationship between the examined distinctive personal characteristics involvement and the strength of religious faith. Participants in this study were 406 in-service teachers of different specialties in three education levels (preliminary, elementary, and secondary). Ages ranged from 22 to 60 years old with years of teaching experience ranged from 1 to 35 years. They filled out the Involvement Scale and the Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ). Results showed that the in-service teachers are possibly distinguished by the element of communication, the limited ability of self-regulation, pro-social behaviors and self-esteem. Personality traits of in-service teachers appear individual differences. The religiosity show to helps predict of the activities involvement dimensions.
